General Information

The Frisco Football League Cheer program is a recreational program that is open to all children ages 5-12.

  • The Frisco Football League Cheer program is a recreational program that is open to all girls in grades K-6.  
  • Our focus is on cheerleading fundamentals and sideline cheering for our football teams.  
  • Girls do not need to tryout and do not need prior cheer experience to participate.  
  • ALL girls who register will be placed on a squad.  
  • We place the girls on a cheer squad through a draft system and they are grouped by age/grade.  
  • We are a city wide league so each squad is a mix of girls from various schools in Frisco.  
  • All of our squads are coached by volunteers.  
  • The FFL season runs August through November each year.

Frequently Asked Questions

How Old does my daughter need to be to participate in FFL Cheer?

Girls that will be entering Kinder - 6th grade in the Fall are eligible for that upcoming season.

What are the Registration fees & what does that include?

Registration is $200 and includes the Uniform, poms, & camp.  
Outside of the registration fee, there are additional fees that may occur before or once the season begins. These additional fees can cover the costs of all sorts of items for the squad, and can include items such as camp uniform, cheer buckets, additional uniform items, briefs, bows, shoes, spirit items, team gifts, etc., anything for the squad.  Fees are set by the squad's Head Coach and paid directly to the squad. Additional squad fees cannot exceed $125

What does the cheer uniform consist of?

Cheer top, skirt and poms.  *Shoes are not included.

Can my daughter cheer with a friend or a specific coach/squad?

Requests can be made in the comments section of your online registration form.  However, squads are selected through a draft process and any/all requests are not guaranteed.

Can my child cheer up or down an age division to cheer with friends?

No we only allow kids that are 6u and older to cheer UP one age division to cheer with or for a sibling (no extended family or friends)

What is the time commitment for cheer?

Squads practice 2x per week pre-season and 1x per week once games start - time and location is determined by their coach. Games are on Saturdays and played at various fields in Frisco.

What are the requirements to be a cheer coach?

$30 registration fee to cover a background check.

Interview with Cheer Board members.

Attendance at the cheer coaches clinic.

Can I be a Cheer Coach if I have never cheered before?

Yes!

What is the difference between online registration and onsite registration?

Online pre-registration must be completed before attending onsite registration. You will create a family account and enter all your contact information as well as your players information. This is where you can make any requests for friends, coaches or specific squads. Online pre-registration is only complete once you have received a confirmation email, be sure to "checkout" at the end of the process. This information is used at the onsite registration to complete your fittings. Onsite registration is offered on two days, you may come anytime between 9am and 3pm at your convenience.
